Privacy Policy
This policy covers this page — the Futures Non-Equity Golf Membership enrollment page operated by Elgin Country Club, 2575 Weld Road, Elgin, IL 60124. It explains what we collect when you request a tour, why we collect it, who sees it, and how to have it removed. The Club's main website, elgincc.com, is separate and has its own terms.
What we collect
Only what you type, plus the ordinary technical details every web server records.
- What you give us on the form
- Your name and phone number (required); your email address and ZIP code (optional); what you are looking for and which parts of the club interest you; and the exact consent sentence you agreed to, with the date and time you agreed to it.
- What your browser sends
- Your IP address, browser and device type, the page you arrived from, and — if you came from an ad — the click identifier that ad carries. We set two first-party cookies (
_fbcand_fbp) to remember that click so the same tour request is not counted twice.
We do not ask for, and this page has no way to receive, financial information, government identifiers, or health information.
Why we collect it
- To call you back. The Club's membership office contacts you about the Futures membership and scheduling a tour. That is the reason the form exists.
- To measure our advertising. When the Club is running paid social advertising, we report that a tour request happened so we can tell which ads work and stop paying for the ones that do not.
- To keep the page working. Server logs and a request limit protect the form from automated abuse.
Agreeing to be contacted is not a condition of membership, and you can withdraw it at any time — see Your choices.
Advertising measurement, and what is actually sent
When paid advertising is running, this page uses the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API to report that a tour request occurred. Before anything identifying leaves this server it is hashed — converted to an irreversible fingerprint — so Meta receives a fingerprint of your email or phone number, never the value itself. The two reports carry the same event identifier so a single request is not counted as two.
We do not run advertising trackers from any other company on this page, and there is no tag manager, chat widget, analytics suite, or ad network on it.
Who sees your information
- Elgin Country Club — the membership office, who calls you.
- Our web and forms provider, which runs this page and routes the notification email on the Club's behalf, under instruction and for no other purpose.
- Meta, and only the hashed measurement described above.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with other clubs, brokers, list vendors, or advertisers.
How long we keep it
Tour requests are kept while the Club is following up with you and for as long afterwards as it needs them for its membership records. Server and access logs are short-lived. The _fbc and _fbp cookies expire on their own within 90 days, and clearing your browser's site data removes them immediately.
Your choices
- Have your information removed. Email jleskis@elgincc.com or call (847) 741-1716 and ask. We will delete your tour request.
- Stop the calls, texts or emails. Tell us on any call, reply STOP to a text, or email the address above.
- See or correct what we hold. Ask at the same address and we will tell you what we have and fix anything wrong.
- Turn off the cookies. Block or clear cookies in your browser. The form still works.
- Adjust what Meta shows you. Ad preferences live in your Facebook or Instagram account settings, not here.
Children
This page is meant for adults considering a club membership. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child submitted the form, email us and we will remove it.
Security
The page is served over HTTPS. Tour requests are stored on a private server and reach the membership office by email. No method of transmission or storage is perfect, but the information here is deliberately limited to what a callback needs.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the effective date at the top. This enrollment page runs for a limited window, so material changes are unlikely.
